Chapter 6: The Midnight Vow Under Crimson Stars
The final hour of St. Jude’s survival trial had arrived.
The sky turned into a vortex of swirling purple and black clouds. From the central courtyard of the academy, a gargantuan shadowy behemoth materialized—the Headmaster’s Phantom, the ultimate game boss controlling the realm.
“AUDREY VANCE! PROFESSOR WYATT STERLING!” the Boss’s demonic voice roared, shaking the stone foundations of the school. “YOU HAVE VIOLATED ACADEMY LAW 101 BY FORMING A FORBIDDEN BOND! PREPARE FOR SOUL ANNIHILATION!”
Massive dark spikes shot down from the sky, aiming directly at Audrey.
“NOT ON MY WATCH!” Wyatt roared.
He stepped in front of Audrey, his velvet coat transforming into a magnificent armor of radiant white moonlight. Drawing his legendary silver blade of light, he swung with terrifying force, slashing through the dark spikes and sending a wave of holy flame straight into the Headmaster’s Phantom.
The boss shrieked in agony as the holy light disintegrated its shadowy form, shattering the game’s core crystal high above the courtyard.
*BOOM!*
The dark fog vanished. The purple game system HUD flickered wildly before dissolving into glowing particles:
> **[CURSE BROKEN! GAME OVERRULED BY TRUE LOVE!]**
> **[AFFINITY REACHED 100%! PROFESSOR WYATT FULLY RESURRECTED!]**
> **[ST. JUDE ACADEMY FREED!]**
As the crimson clouds parted, a bright morning sun rose over St. Jude Academy for the first time in a century, bathing the lush green courtyard in warm golden light.
Wyatt turned toward Audrey. His skin was no longer pale and ghostly; he was warm, breathing, and completely human.
He walked over to Audrey, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her up in a joyful embrace.
“You saved me, Audrey,” Wyatt whispered softly, looking deeply into her hazel eyes.
“We saved each other, Professor,” Audrey smiled warmly.
Wyatt leaned down and pulled her into a long, passionate kiss under the radiant morning sky—a vow of love that no horror game could ever break.
